My name is Amy and I own 556 Training Lab. My first exposure to formal firearms training was as a newly hired peace officer for the State of Alaska 15 years ago. I became a firearms instructor early in my career and have had the distinct honor of coaching hundreds of students in law enforcement training. Although my foundation in shooting is rooted in strong, disciplined Gunsite-derived doctrine, I did not become an excellent shooter until I started competing. As a 3-gunner, armorer and master of a multitude of platforms, I have made it my mission to assist good citizens in becoming as skilled as possible with firearms. 

Most days you’ll find me working full-time and using my precious spare time growing as a firearms coach and a dedicated student of shooting.  I feel compelled to share high value training content with others.  I believe in a well-armed citizenry, the ability to defend life and that gun owners should be, at the very least, competent and proficient shooters. That takes discipline and practice.
